Lee Jung Shin has been performing beyond expectations.

In KBS's weekend drama "My Daughter Seo Young," Lee Jung Shin is playing the quintessential mommy's boy. He is one of the key characters who play a big part in the general love story as well as helping figure out the secrets behind the plot points and the characters' histories.

On the Sunday episode, Sung Jae (Lee Jung Shin) gets incredibly angry with his father who was mistreating his mother. This was not an easy thing to do for Sung Jae who had always lived in the shadow of his older brother and older sister. 

He is the other person in the Kang household that Lee Seo Young (Lee Bo Young) likes, second to her husband. He is one of the characters to have brought out her more emotional heart, underneath her steely exterior.

He is the character with the key to the twist. Not only does he have a secret behind his birth but also he has a potential new love interest. His acting ability is incredibly important in depicting these key changes that are about to come up in the script. 

Many viewers worried because he's an idol group member and they compared him to member Kang Min Hyuk, who was incredibly successful in "Unexpected You," which came before "My Daughter Seo Young." That's why in the beginning, he faced much criticism but as the drama progressed, viewers are now holding out hope for his improvement.
