Microsoft Office 2016 Release Date Hinted By Microsoft; What New Features Are In Store For The New Edition Of MS Office?

Microsoft has teased the potential Microsoft Office 2016 release date after the unveiling of their new Windows 10 OS.

"Simultaneously, we are hard at work on the next release of the Office desktop suite that will be called Office 2016. (Unexpected, I know!) We will have more share on Office 2016 in the coming months, but this suite will remain the comprehensive Office experience you're long familiar with, best suited for a PC with keyboard and mouse,"the General Manager for the Office Product Management Team, Julia White wrote on Microsoft official blog

White also added that the Microsoft Office 2016 release date is expected to be available in the second half of 2015.

Furthermore, White shared that the new Office universal apps for Windows 10 includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar.

Moreover, the company has not yet revealed the new features that will be in store for the new edition of MS Office but White wrote on a Microsoft Blog that they will share more details regarding the Office 2016 in the coming months.

Also The Verge said that the next version of MS Office will include a darker theme and new features such as a Clippy-like helper.

Meanwhile, the File Hippo reported that Microsoft Office 2016 release date in the second half of 2015 might be tied up with the release of Windows 10.
