Michael Schumacher's Health Condition Remains Positive Despite Slow Recovery; Race Driver Out Of Sight But Not Out Of Mind

Michael Schumacher's health condition remains positive even if the recovery is quite slow. The race driver, meanwhile, might be out of sight but definitely not out of mind.

According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Serra, the seven-time F1 champion can express his emotion through tears.

"Sometimes a tear rolls down Michael's face. He cries when he hears the voice of his children or his wife," the report said.

"Michael has his eyes open but he is often looking into a void. In recent times he has been able to recognize the familiar faces of his family but he cannot communicate with them," it added.

Although Michael Schumacher's health condition still doesn't allow him to speak or recover motor function, "he reacts to external stimuli but for now can only answer a familiar voice by opening his eyes."

Previously, manager and spokeswoman Sabine Kehm told The Sydney Morning Herald that "It is not possible to give any kind of reliable prognosis," regarding Michael Schumacher's condition.

"It remains unclear whether Schumacher will ever recover significantly enough to live a relatively normal life, never mind get behind the wheel of a racing car," the publication said.

In a piece from Pit Pass, fans are reportedly alienated by the lack of updates into Michael Schumacher's health condition. In the same vein, some fans also argued that his family has the right to privacy just like everyone else and they can choose to share what they want to the public.

"Michael was a divisive figure during his career in Formula One but now is not the time to revisit the same old controversial moments that are in the past; where they should remain," it said. "The overwhelming support shown by people across the world is of great strength to his family. If only Michael knew just how loved he is."
