Windows 10 Technical Preview Updates: Universal Office Apps Added By Microsoft! What New Features Have Been Included?

The Microsoft has revealed Windows 10 Technical Preview update, which the Universal Office Apps for Windows 10.

The Gadgets NDTV reported that the company has disclosed the Excel, PowerPoint and Word Universal apps, which are available for laptops, tablets and desktops running the Windows 10 Technical Preview. 

According to the blog post titled "The next chapter of Office on Windows" by Julia White, the General Manager for Office Product Management said, "Today, we're excited to announce that Word, Excel and PowerPoint are now available for technical preview on PCs, laptops and tablets running the Windows 10 Technical Preview!"

Furthermore, White added that the company will open up a preview for the same apps on tablets and phones running on Windows 10. The mobile version is currently not available, but Microsoft said it will be available in the coming weeks.

The said Universal Office apps are "optimised for touch and mobile use, and it is currently available to download via Windows Store Beta that comes with the January Technical Preview of Windows 10," Gadgets NDTV wrote.

On the other hand, the company has not yet confirmed the availability of a new Outlook app for the technical preview.

Meanwhile, the Microsoft announced last month that Office 2016, the next version of office for desktop is scheduled for general availability in the second half of 2015.
