Malala Yousafzai Calls Actions For The 250 Missing Schoolgirls Kidnapped By Boko Haram' 'We Cannot Forget Them'

Malala Yousafzai on Sunday calls action about the Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram.

According to the report of Time, Malala Yousafzai urges Nigerian leader and all the people to do an action on the said issue.

“Nigerian leaders and the international community can and must do much more to resolve this crisis and change their weak response to date,” Malala wrote in a statement on the 300th day of the schoolgirls’ captivity.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner of 2014 also added that less action has been made regarding the issue. “If these girls were the children of politically or financially powerful parents, much more would be done to free them. But they come from an impoverished area of northeast Nigeria and sadly little has changed since they were kidnapped.”

Furthermore, Malala Yousafzai said responsible people should take full responsibility of the tragedy and must take action to get the girls be reunited with their family.

“These young women risked everything to get an education that most of us take for granted. I will not forget my sisters. We cannot forget them.”

Moreover, Malala Yousafzai said that through the Malala Fund she will continue to support and advocate programs that can help girls to have the education they deserve.

The Boko Haram and Islamist extremist group kidnapped 276 schoolgirls in school located in a northeast of Nigeria last April.

Meanwhile, Malala Yousafzai is the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize as well as Kailash Satyarthi "for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education."
