Windows 10 Mobile Preview Now Available For Insiders; Features Include Speech To Text Capability, Interactive Notifications And More

The Microsoft's Engineering General Manager Gabriel Aul disclosed that Windows 10 mobile preview is available on Thursday.

According to Digital Trends, Aul posted on his Twitter account that Windows 10 mobile preview will arrive on February 12 for Windows Insiders to test. The said update can be accessed through the Windows Insider app.

"If you're a Windows Phone customer and love to try the latest stuff before anyone else, or a Developer, or IT Pro who works with Windows Phone, joining the Windows Insider program and trying out this build may be right for you," said Gabriel Aul on Windows official blog site. "You'll be getting an insider's view and getting build that normally would have only been available to Microsoft engineers in the past."

Furthermore, Aul also added that the Windows 10 mobile preview has a lot of features and new capabilities.

One of the new feature is an option that can let users to customize their start screen with a full-size background image. Also, there are more quick actions in action center, "We've increased the number of quick actions available to you. Window Phone 8.1 has four programmable quick actions - but with Windows 10 you also get an expanded view that can now have up to three rows," Aul wrote on the Windows blog.

Moreover, another interesting feature is speech to text capability that allows the users to talk to virtually any data field they choose. Your words will automatically show up right after you speak, punctuation marks also appear.

Other features include for the Windows 10 mobile preview build is the interactive notifications, which allows users to take specific an action. "For example, for text messages, when the toast pops, you can quickly reply inline via text or voice."
