'Inferno' Cast Confirmed: Tom Hanks Will Be Joined By 'X-Men: Days Of Future' Star Omar Sy, 'Life Of Pi' Actor Irrfan Khan And More

Tom Hanks will be joined by Felicity Jones, Omar Sy and more for the movie adaptation of Dan Brown's book entitled "Inferno".

According to the Deadline report, the "Inferno" cast includes Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy and Sidse Babett Knudsen.

"Sony and Columbia Pictures' 'Inferno', the latest in the lucrative movie franchise based on the Dan Brown books that started with 'The Da Vince Code' has added a trio of international stars to its cast: Omar Sy, star of the French hit  'The Intouchables' who has already crossed over via 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' and upcoming 'Jurassic World'; Irrfan Khan, known is the U.S. for 'Slumdog Millionaire' and 'Life Of Pi'; and Sidese Babett Knudsen, start of the Danish TV series Borgen," the Deadline wrote.

In the movie, Tom Hanks will return as Robert Langdon as well while Felicity Jones will play the role of Dr. Sienna Brooks. Furthermore, "Inferno" cast Omar Sy will play the role as Christoph Bruder, the leader of the European Center For Disease Control's paramilitary SRS unit and Irrfan Khan will be "The Provost" the villain of the story.

Moreover, "the threat in the film is a madman trying to release an old school plague upon Italy, with Langdon finds himself in the hospital at the beginning of his journey tied to Dante's classical poem from Hell," the Cinema Blend cited.

The Indian Television reported that the movie is set to be released on October 14, 2016. The executive producers are Anna Culp, Bill Connor, Dan Brown and David Householter.
