Manny Pacquiao Update: Pac-Man To Retire After Clash With Floyd Mayweather; Filipino Boxer Expected To Get Knocked Out By Undefeated Opponent?

Alas, the much-awaited slugfest between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is set on May 2 at MGM Grand Arena. The fight will have no rematch clause which led to the idea of this being Pac-Man's last fight.

Pacquiao hinted Monday, Feb. 23, that he might hang up his gloves this 2015. "It is coming close. We will announce it," Pacquiao said to ABS-CBN with a smile when asked about retirement.

If it turns out to be his last fight, boxing experts say this is the perfect way to cement his legacy. It is said that this is what Pacquiao have in mind when he agreed to accept the smaller share of the purse, just so the fight could finally happen.

"If we only thought about our pride, there would not be a fight. If we had equal pay, the fight would not have pushed through so for the fight to push through, I agreed to it," he said.

According to Rappler, a source reported that Mayweather will receive 60 percent of the prize pot, which is approximately $120 million, with the Filipino champ taking home around $80 million.

Meanwhile, Mayweather's father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., claims his son will be able to knock-out the Filipino champ. He said that he knows the boxer's weak spot and they will capitalize when the opportunity arise.

"If you've ever seen Pacquiao fight, against everybody, you never see nobody going to his body - you never see nobody going to his body," Mayweather Sr. told MLive.com.

"So my thing would be is to tell Floyd, hit him with the straight right hand and left hook, and then go back to the body."

Mayweather Sr. further added that southpaws are pretty much vulnerable against right handed boxers. He predicted that Pacquiao will go down when hit with a good right hand and a left hook along with constant body punches.

He also narrated how it could possibly transpire and exposed Pacquiao's attack pattern. "He'll jump in with the jab, and when he jumps in with the jab, he ain't going to throw nothing behind it. He only throws one or two punches. When he jabs, because he jabs with his right hand, Floyd can pick it, or slide and dig to his body."

Will Mayweather Sr.'s prediction come true? Fans would just have to stay tuned on May 2.
