News about the first "World War Z 2" trailer has been circulating the internet, with claims that the much-awaited film will finally show fans a sneak peek of what's in store for them.

There are rumors that the trailer will be released in the coming months. This following a seemingly long hiatus with the producers' updates on the film. While the validity of the rumor is yet to be confirmed, fans are still hoping that they would get to see a preview of the film starring Brad Pitt.

Some fans say that the lack of information that concerns the movie is a strategy by producers, while some say that this is because production simply has not started yet. As previously reported, the audience will expect Brad Pitt to reprise his role as the United Nations employee, Gerry Lane, who fights the undead. Previous reports have claimed that the plot angle will definitely follow the life of Gerry Lane, as the prequel ended with a cliff hanger, prompting fans to conclude that the sequel will pick up where the first movie left off.

Latino Post wrote, "'Plot details for the next World War Z are being kept under wraps but the storyline is expected to continue from where Marc Forster's movie left off,' The Independent predicted. While this is expected, the gray area would be how the filmmakers will mine the Max Brooks novel, which the film is based on, and create a story with more depth and relevance."
