Melissa Rivers News: 'Fashion Police' Executive Producer Stands Up For Zendaya Coleman And Kelly Osbourne Following Giuliana Rancic's Diss

Melissa Rivers news reported how the "Fashion Police" executive producer made a stand for Zendaya Coleman and Kelly Osbourne following a diss made Giuliana Rancic.

According to a report from In Touch Weekly, the only daughter of former "Fashion Police" host Joan Rivers took to Instagram to show her support for Zendaya Coleman. The 18-year-old actress and singer was criticized by Giuliana Rancic during the show's Oscars 2015 red carpet review because of her dreadlocks.

Several viewers and social media followers cried foul as the E! mainstay stereotyped the dreadlocked teen star, saying she "probably smelled like patchouli oil or weed".

Following the backlash from Giuliana Rancic's alleged racist comment, Melissa Rivers made news by posting an Instagram photo of Zendaya Coleman with Joan Rivers.

"#TBT We @e_FashionPolice have nothing but love for @Zendaya then and now. A repeat guest host. #MelRivers #JoanRivers," Melissa Rivers posted.

Even though Giuliana Rancic apologized, the turn of events proved to be too much for her co-host, Kelly Osbourne. The daughter of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne confirmed her departure from the show less than a week after the Zendaya Coleman fiasco.

According to another report from Yahoo News, Melissa Rivers again responded to news by issuing a statement via WhoSay.

"Kelly Osbourne is a friend and has been a wonderful part of the Fashion Police family," the 47-year-old wrote.

"I will miss her terribly and wish her the very best in all of her future endeavors." she wrote.

"As my mother (Joan Rivers) always said, the show must go on and I plan to continue in the same spirit," Melissa Rivers added.

A lot of the show's fans pointed at Giuliana Rancic and her racist comments as the reason for Kelly Osbourne's resignation.

However, an Us Weekly report explained that the 30-year-old mainstay has been contemplating to leave "Fashion Police" for quite some time already, especially after Joan Rivers' death last Sept. 4.

"This whole situation solidified her decision to move on. It was time for her to go," an insider explained.

"She had five great years there, and the relationship she had with Joan (Rivers) there changed her life."
