British newcomer Daisy Ridley stars in "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens," reportedly playing as Han Solo's daughter.

"Star Wars Episode 7" is set to continue the saga that was created by George Lucas back in 1977. The film will pick up after the events of "Star Wars: Return of The Jedi" and will feature old and new characters.

While Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill are reprising their iconing roles in the movie, upcoming talents will be joining them as well. One actress who has been gaining a lot of buzz lately is newcomer Daisy Ridley, widely believed to be playing the role of Han Solo's daughter.

So who is this new actress? Daisy Ridley is a British actress who mostly starred in short films and landed a few roles in TV shows, not much is known about her except that she had brief stints in "Blue Season" and "Toast of London."

Upon hearing the news that she will be starring in "The Force Awakens," the actress posted a message on her Twitter account.

"Overwhelmed by all the support. This is the greatest day of my life. I'm told I can't say who I'm playing yet, but it's exciting!"

Her Twitter account suddenly was nowhere to be found shortly after the announcement. John Boyega, another uprising talent who joins Ridley in "The Force Awakens" also dissapeared on Twitter. Fans are speculating that this is some form of a non-disclosure agreement between the two actors and Lucasfilm.

"Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Lupita Nyong'O, Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Domnhall Gleeson, and Andy Serkis.

The film will be the first "Star Wars" movie from Disney since the company aqcuired the rights from Lucasfilm; official release date is Dec. 18.
