Lim Kim Returns With Sweet 'Are You A Grown Up?' Music Video

Mystic89 artist Lim Kim has released the music video for her "Are You A Grown Up?" comeback single.

The talented artist is known to the K-pop community as a member of the band Togeworl, which competed in Superstar K3. Lim has also contributed various songs to drama soundtracks, including Reply 1994, and her song "All Right" from her debut mini-album A Voice peaked at #2 in the Gaon chart.

"Are You A Grown Up?" is about the suffocating expectations of adulthood, the changes in priorities that come with age, and the confusing nature of the "adult" title. Lim sings about enjoying Americanos and soju, pretending to be nonchalant about breakups, talking about racy topics casually, and sighing sadly over the pitiful amount in her bank account. The song has an uplifting theme, telling listeners that they're not alone and all young adults feel insecure about their decisions and the future.

The video manages to portray the lyrical story perfectly. Small children pretending to be adults scuttle around reading the newspaper, drinking coffee, traveling for their jobs, worrying about their appearance, and even wearing oversized clothes. Lim gathers them together to play a game so they forget about their worries, reminding them that happiness and friendship is what truly matters in life.

The video stresses that at the end of the day, adulthood is a game of pretend.
