It's been a mutual admiration society for Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey, who herself made UFC history when she subdued Cat Zingano in record time.

Gina Carano, Henry Cavill's ex, who is considered to be the pioneer in women's fighting, was asked by MMA Weekly if she watched the fight between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano.

"That was a good one," she said. "It's insane. she's a beautiful athlete and there's so much respect there and I wish her all the best. And I hope Cat Zingano gets another chance at the UFC."

Ronda Rousey made history with the Cat Zingano fight by beating her opponent in just 14 seconds. But it presents a problem for the UFC: Who will have the chops to challenge the champion?

The Roar suggested Christian "Cyborg" Justino.

"Justino and Gina Carano were the first women to headline a Western MMA event from which Justino would emerge victorious via a first round TKO. Following this win, however, she suffered from the same problem now faced by Ronda: there was no one for her to fight who could challenger her."

Cyborg Justino was temporarily banned from the game after her win over Hiroko Yamanaka over the use of steroids.

In an earlier interview, UFC champion Ronda Rousey expressed her admiration for Gina Carano.

"If you have a problem with Gina, there's a problem with you," she said.

"If she wants to be done, and she's done so much to change my entire life that I'm eternally grateful to her, she doesn't need to do anything else," she said. "If she wants to fight, I would be happy to oblige her if that what she wants. I never want her to be pushed into doing anything that she doesnt' want."

"If she wants me to play the role of an opponent ... or as cast mate or anything I would be happy to help her or be there for her," Ronda Rousey added of Henry Cavill's ex girlfriend.
