MR.MR Adds New Member After Ryu's Contract Termination

Winning Insight M has wasted no time replacing MR.MR member Ryu after his contract was terminated last week. The agency has announced that either of two candidates - Jaemin and Sanghyun - will fill in Ryu's slot in the five-member boy group. The replacement will be selected in early April in time for the group's planned comeback later that month.

"Next month on the 5th (April 5th), they will be holding a concert in Shibuya, Japan. Since it is not possible to continue with four members, we have decided to recruit a new member. They are currently preparing to make a comeback next month on the 23rd. Due to lack of time, we've had to hasten our plans to recruit a new member," Winning Insight M was reported to have said, according to Koreaboo.

The agency further revealed the process of selection for Ryu's replacement. It said that both Jaemin and Sanghyun have practiced with the group and will both perform during the Shibuya concert. Fans will then vote during the concert while the members deliberate on who is the better candidate. The fan votes and member opinions will determine which between the two will officially join MR.MR. The agency did not specify on whether the fan votes or the member opinions will carry a greater weight in the deliberation.

Winning Insight M has cited differences in music and understanding others as reasons for Ryu's contract termination. Ryu has countered this negative portrayal with claims that he was physically abused by the agency and suffered through unfair contract terms.
