The Honda Civic Type R 2015 Continues With Production; Specs And Details Revealed!

The much-hyped about Honda Civic Type R 2015 currently has fans and car enthusiasts lining up for a test drive of what is geared to be Honda's most powerful car yet.

As the company stated in their press release, the car will be the best hot hatch that has ever been produced under Honda. set to impress even the most demanding driver there is, the Honda Civic Type R 2015 will be the fastest and the strongest Civic there is.

As reported by Auto Blog, the specs include Honda's most powerful production engine yet, a 2.0-liter VTEC turbo four with 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, creating a top speed of 167 miles per hour. 

Aside from the engine, the car is set to boast of a six-speed manual transmission with electric power steering with hard turn support and new and improved suspensions to address torque steering. To address an improved driving experience for users, the car will also include a set of 19-inch wheels with Brembo brakes and adaptive dampers.

For Honda's aesthetics, the Civic Type R 2015 is designed to have a customized interior, made up of synthetic suede upholstering, and an aluminum knob for gear selection.

Honda's official Press Release for the much-awaited unit states,

"After a five year wait, 2015 sees the arrival of the world's most keenly anticipated hot hatch, the Honda Civic Type R, Billed as a 'race car for the road', the all-new Civic Type R will set new standards in the high-performance front-wheel drive hatchback segment. The production version of Honda's latest hot hatch icon is revealed for the first time at the 85th Geneva Motor Show (5 to 15 March; Stand 4250, Hall 4), and more images of the car can be viewed at: www.hondanews.eu/gb"

"Type R vehicles have garnered a cult following around the world and the new model more than lives up to the high expectations," continues the official Press Release. "A world-first application of Honda's new 2.0 litre VTEC TURBO engine, aggressive function-led styling, and pioneering new chassis technologies combine to deliver one of the most immersive and rewarding driving experiences available in any sector."
