The official Facebook page states that, "K-Pop Amino is a social network for K-pop fans...it's like Facebook for all your K-Popping needs!" The app was even recommended by popular YouTube personality and Hallyu Vlogger JRE of JREKML.

The app provides many features that engage its target audience, including:

• Creating an interactive profile, with gif functionality, and polls
• The ability to join K-pop fan clubs and make new K-popper friends
• A space to engage in discussions and weekly challenges about your favorite K-Pop idols, and
• A map to find other K-pop fans in the world

The map feature is exciting, especially if there is an interest in creating in-person meetups. For the sake of user privacy, however, the pins on the map only indicate approximate locations, not exact locations.

K-pop Amino user Eileen, best known as YouTube personality PARADISELOVEX, is using the app to encourage her 6,000+ subscriber to connect with her. An idea she hopes will take off with the app is planned chats. "One day, they could announce [YouTube personality's] Q&As. It would help out on the popularity of the app." For now, the chat feature provides space for users to get together within the app and talk about their individual fandoms and interests.
