Reporters From Complex Magazine And Fuse TV Rave About Epik High’s Performance At SXSW 2015

South Korean hip-hop group Epik High can mark SXSW 2015 can officially mark SXSW 2015 down as a triumph.

The group's performance at the annual Austin, Texas music festival landed them rave reviews from the US magazine Complex and Fuse TV.

Complex compiled data from thousands of Twitter users at SXSW and found Epik High’s Tablo was the fifth most mentioned artist at the festival after the acts Halsey, Cody Simpson, Perfume and Miley Cyrus.

Epik High was reportedly one of the most hashtagged acts as well.

Fuse TV reporter Maria Sherman also raved about Epik High in a roundup of her favorite SXSW 2015 moments published on Sunday. 

"They're one of the biggest acts of their genre, and that became apparent the minute they uttered their first words," Sherman wrote. "It was a true thrill to watch newbies to Korean popular music almost gasping in the afterglow."

Epik High was the last act on the bill on March 20 at the Club Alice Room for the event K-Pop’s Night Out. Taking the stage close to 2 a.m., the group performed a set including the hits “Born Hater” and “Map The Seoul.”

The group has currently has performances slated for April 18 at the SM Skydome in Manila, Philippines and April 19 in Hong Kong, China at Rotunda3.
