Piranhas are known for their sharp teeth and overall scary demeanor.

These fish get even more frightening when it’s feeding time, as they desperately fight for the food that’s thrown into the lake by the fisherman.

In the video, the piranhas are seen devouring the raw meat in a matter of seconds, even piling on top of each other to try to get to the food.

“Piranhas in real-life are even more friggin’ terrifying than their portrayal in cartoons,” wrote YouTube user John Hattan.

Fellow social media user Dog Brindle commented, “I’d hate to fall in accidentally.”

Piranhas have been known to eat humans in the past, although they usually stick to a diet of raw meat, other fish and plants, according to the U.K’s The Mirror. They reportedly usually travel in large groups to protect themselves against large predators.

The video of piranhas enjoying feeding time has gone viral with over 7 million views and over 5,000 likes. The 1 minute 16 second clip has successfully frightened social media users all around.

“This video is pretty scary considering I recently saw a video of a young boy in Peru who got eaten by Piranhas,” wrote YouTube user Fysh.
