CBS News' Lara Logan Hospitalized For Internal Bleeding For 4th Time, ‘60 Minutes’ Correspondent Still Suffering From 2011 Egypt Assault Injuries

Lara Logan was admitted to the hospital Monday for internal bleeding, the "60 Minutes" correspondent's fourth time in the hospital in the last year. Lara Logan is reportedly still suffering from injuries she sustained in 2011, when she was sexually assaulted in Egypt.

CBS News' Lara Logan, 43, is continuing to cope with complications from injuries she sustained on  Feb. 11, 2011, in Tahrir Square in Cairo. When she was separated from her producer and bodyguard, she told the New York Times that a group of men tore at her clothes and groped and beat her body. She said they "raped me with their hands."

Breitbart.com reports that the "60 Minutes" correspondent, who is from South Africa, has been in the hospital four times in the last year. She was hospitalized in February with internal bleeding.

CBS said in a statement: "We were sorry to learn that Lara was readmitted to the hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery."

Breitbart quotes Logan friend Ed Butowsky as saying, "Very few people know how stoic and incredibly tough this lady is. In spite of everything she's had to face in the last two years, people have no idea the physical suffering she has been enduring due to the brutal sexual assault she encountered in Egypt during the Arab Spring while reporting for '60 Minutes.'"

Logan has two children.
