Wrestlemania 31 Matches And Winners Surprises Fans; WWE Stock Falls 14% After The Event!

WWE's biggest show, Wrestlemania 31, has been making headlines as of late, with the matches and winners surprising fans all over the world.

One of the matches included Roman Reigns against World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. According to reports, most of the fans were anticipating Lesnar to win with ease. However, Seth Rollins turned the tables after he cashed in his Money In The Bank opportunity and ended up winning the championship belt.

Given the fact that there were numerous rumors surrounding the Wrestlemania 31 event before it went live, one of them included Seth Rollins' recent cheating allegations with fellow WWE star Zahra Schreiber.

Investors were shocked to find the stocks of the company dropping significantly, particularly more than 14% after the annual Wrestlemania 31 event happened.

According to Forbes, the WWE has gained more than 1.3 million subscribers since January of this year, but still was not enough to prevent the dip in its stocks on Wall Street.

WWE CEO Vince McMahon released a statement and said that the number of subscribers only show that the network has no way but up.

"We believe that exceeding 1.3 million subscribers reflects the successful execution of our strategy and puts us on the path to transformative growth through WWE Network," he said.

Adding to this, WWE CFO George Barrios explained that despite the good numbers in subscription and the confidence it gives them in terms of long term potential, the statistics may still plummet given that subscribers may have only signed on because of big events such as the WWE Wrestlemania 31.
