There have been reports about some new "Independence Day 2" plot details being leaked online.

Despite superhero films taking the lead in this year's movie buzz, the upcoming movie has also been creating it's own buzz on the internet, with numerous publications updating information about what they know will be included in the film and etcetera.

One of the publications that continuously report about the subject is Movie Pilot. According to its latest update, the upcoming sequel's storyline will be a continuation of what happened 20 years after the events on the first film.

The aliens that once wreaked havoc on earth and got won over by humans, will reportedly return for their revenge, causing another round of chaos amongst humans.

To add to this, the sequel's story is also set to be divided into two films titled "ID Forever Part One," and "ID Forever Part Two."

Screenrant previously reported that the film's main people, director Roland Emmerich and producer Dean Delvin have already discussed amongst themselves the tone for the said film. Having a clear vision of how they want the sequel to pan out, they have been reported to already have a strategy on how to carry out their vision.

"The thing that really hit me about the movie is how much love there is in it: between the characters; that the filmmakers had making it; that the cast had for each other," said Delvin, during an interview with the source cited above. "As we're approaching a sequel we're focusing on that aspect of it. Because I think that was really the key as to why it worked for everyone. It was lovable."
