April is filled with exciting K-pop releases, but so was March. While some of the most popular comeback and debut songs, including songs from EXO, Red Velvet, and miss A’s, are very well known among international K-pop fans, here are some of the Korean March releases that you may not have heard about.

Each of these songs appeared within the top 30 songs in March on Korean music charts.
Songs by competitors on music competition shows dominated much of the charts.

Mnet’s show Unpretty Rapstar was responsible for some of the most popular songs in South Korea in March, including “Like Nobody Knows” sung by winner Cheetah’s duet with Ailee, produced by MC Mong.

AOA rapper Jimin’s song “Puss” featuring Iron from the semi-finals of Unpretty Rapstar also did extraordinarily well on the music charts, competing with “Like Nobody Knows” for the top spot on music charts. Yuk Ji Dam’s duet with 15&’s Baek Yerin “On & On” also appeared in the top ten on Korean music charts.
Other songs by the three rappers and other contestants also appeared in the top 20.

Songs by Kpop Star 4 competitors also did well, particularly Lee Jin Ah and Jung Seung Hwan’s “Already One Year.”

Ballads also dominated March, mainly Davichi’s “Two Lover,” K.Will’s “Growing,” Huh Gak’s “Snow of April,” and Baek Z Young’s “Garosugil at Dawn” featuring Song Youbin.

Rapper MC Mong’s “Love Mash” featuring Chancellor of the Channels also ranked high on the Korean music charts.

From idols, Ga-In’s “Apple” featuring Jay Park and FT ISLANDS “Pray” were underrated hits in South Korea.

Also worth checking out: Giriboy’s “Back and Forth,” NS Yoon-G’s “Wifey” featuring MC Mong, Rap Monster’s “Do You,” NC.A’s “Cinderlla Time,” Madtown's "New World," V.O.S's "Someday," Stellar's "Fool," Crayon Pop’s “FM,” Block B member Taeil’s “Shaking,” Eric Nam’s “I’m OK,” Jay Park’s “Lotto,” Koyote’s “Stop Love,” and Outsider’s “Pride & Prejudice.”

Correction, April 2: 15&'s Baek Yerin was erroniously called "Park Yerin" upon publishing.
