According to Daily Mail, “Chace Crawford is making his long awaited return to TV screens - three years after the Gossip Girl finale. The 29-year-old heartthrob has been cast in ABC's new drama pilot, Boom.

Wonder what this new TV show is about? “Set in North Dakota, the series revolves around the biggest oil discovery in American History, which causes a 'black gold rush', triggering an unprecedented geopolitical shift and an economic boom,” reports Daily Mail.

According to Deadline, Crawford plays 'handsome and ambitious' Billy, who along with his wife Kelly head for the oil fields seeking their fortune and a new life.

Sounds like he will be able to stretch his acting wings in this new TV show. Let’s hope that his girlfriend Amanda Laine doesn’t feel left behind.

The 29-year-old ‘Gossip Girl’ star broke up with his model girlfriend Rachelle Goulding this past July.
