Michael Schumacher's Health Update: Recovery Remains Slow As F1 Racer's Son Mick Returns To Track After His Own Circuit Accident

Michael Schumacher's recovery condition updates are still sparse as the F1 champion's son, Mick Schumacher, returned to the circuit after an accident during his pre-season debut at Lausitzring speedway in Bradenburg, Germany.

"The 16-year-old, whose father won the Formula 1 championship seven times, reached the new category after seven years of karting in what is seen as a stepping stone for junior drivers hoping to reach the top," Daily Mail.

"He was travelling at speeds of up to 100mph when the incident unfolded - but the crash was minor and he walked away from the accident uninjured," the report added.

Mick Schumacher is trying to follow in the footsteps of his injured father, and has made quite a good impression on the circuit.

A source told Express revealed that "there is no miracle on the horizon" for Michael Schumacher's recovery.

"Progress is painfully slow," a source said, adding more about the condition of seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher claiming he only has limited awareness of his surroundings.

Peter Hamlyn, a spinal surgeon, told the publication that in cases like Michael Schumacher's health condition when the brain suffers massive trauma, "progress is slow, progress is uncertain."

According to the publication, the rehabilitation process of Michael Schumacher's health condition is not cheap, either, as treatment allegedly reached £10 million since the skiing accident.

In an article by Autoweek, based on an inteview with Welt am Sonntag newspaper, Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone said that for now, he knows nothing about any updates on Michael Schumacher's health condition.

"This may sound strange, but it would have been more logical if he had had his accident in racing," he said. "That is the tragedy of this story. He had a lot of crashes and took a lot of risks, but for it to happen like this? It was not even a skiing race."

Michael Schumacher has an estimated net worth of $780 million, said WealthX, after winning 91 Grand Prix event, the most among professional racers.
