Laura Prepon, ‘Orange Is the New Black’ Star, Celebrates Organic Greens with EDGE Magazine In 'The Good Earth'

Laura Prepon, who stars on the Netflix series "Orange Is the New Black," she is co-authoring a book on organic eating-and-living with health coach Elizabeth Troy. Troy helped the actress overcome a number of health problems.

According to Edge Magazine, Prepon has been eating organic since she was a child. Gerry Strauss interviewed the actress for the Trinitas Regional Medical Center lifestyle magazine.

"I have been struggling with a bunch of different ailments in secret for a long time," Prepon admits In her interview with Gerry Strauss.

Prepon revealed that she was "seeing all these doctors and spending all this crazy money and taking all these pills. None of that was working" before she began working with Troy.

In the "Good Earth" issue of EDGE,  Prepon talks about her unconventional upbringing in Watchung, NJ.

"Among the other Earth-related features is a cinematographer's list of the 12 ultimate "end-of-the-earth" movies, a story on environmental landscaping for suburban homeowners, a profile on Dan Richer-New Jersey's hottest young restaurateur-and Rock Solid, a fashion shoot featuring earth tones and natural fibers against a stunning desert backdrop," the press release said.

EDGE is a lifestyle magazine published by Trinitas Regional Medical Center, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Since it launched six years ago, EDGE Magazine has become known as the regional magazine with a national audience. Much of the momentum it has built is a result of its "themed" issues and the thoughtful interviews it conducts with entertainment and cultural celebrities.
