Bobby Flay Divorce War: Did He Really Cancel His Wife's Credit Cards? Statement Released!

Bobby Flay's estranged wife has revealed that the celebrity chef has been pressuring her into an "immoral settlement."

TMZ reported that Stephanie March has been divulging details of the divorce proceedings she is currently undergoing with Flay, who filed for divorce the week earlier. March's lawyer sent a letter to the chef's attorney because Flay allegedly doles out only $5,000 as her monthly support. This was one of the items stipulated in the couple's prenuptial agreement, which they both signed when they got married.

But March's lawyers are disputing this stipulation. "We regard the support provisions of the pre-marital agreement as unenforceable (not to mention morally reprehensible)," the lawyers said in the letter, in which the $5,000 check was enclosed.

Furthermore, the lawyers also accused Bobby Flay that he had cancelled his estranged wife's credit card. The lawyers termed it, "bullying through economic warfare."

The letter also stated that Flay has been forcing her to say yes to releasing a joint press statement to the effect that their split is amicable. But according to March's lawyers, their separation is certainly not "amicable," because the chef has threatened to kick her out of their home if she doesn't agree to the settlement agreement.

According to Page Six, March discovered that Flay had been having an affair with one of his aides. She learned before Thanksgiving last year that her husband had been seeing 28-year-old Elyse Tirrell, a singer/actress who worked at Flay's Bar Americain in 2008. She went on to become his assistant.

"She came to my house and was sobbing uncontrollably," related Maia Madison, an actress who is a friend of March. "She said, 'I can't believe the last 10 years of my life has been a lie.'"

"'Elyse had always seemed so nervous when Stephanie came to one of the restaurants, and Stephanie, not knowing what was happening, went out of her way to compliment her and try to make her more comfortable,'" Madison added.
