Demi Lovato dedicated her song "Warrior" to Bruce Jenner, according to a report from Billboard. The singer said she applauds the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" patriarch's interview with Diane Sawyer.

The former Disney star expressed her admiration for the former Olympian during a live interview with Philippine show "Aquino and Abunda Tonight."

She was in the said country for her concert in Manila, where Demi Lovato performed her song "Warrior" and other hit tracks.

"I remember seeing the interview the night before and I was blown away at the fact that this former man... wants to be called a woman," Demi Lovato gushed.

"He is part of the most famous family on the planet. By coming out and saying he's transitioning into a woman at this moment I thought was so brave."

"That must have been so difficult to do. I don't know him all that well but I am proud of him," she added.

Demi Lovato then explained how "Warrior" fits what Bruce Jenner is going through.

"I wanted to sing that in honor of him," she said.

"I didn't plan it. He popped into my head before the song and I was like I got to share this because I'm so inspired by him."

While Demi Lovato dedicated "Warrior" to Bruce Jenner, the singer-actress herself has also overcome several battles. A report from Daily Mail recalled how the former teen star struggled with substance abuse and alcoholism when she was only 19-years-old.

"I couldn't go 30 minutes to an hour without cocaine and I would bring it on airplanes," she admitted in a 2013 tell-all interview.

"I had all the help in the world, but I didn't want it... (then) I hit that moment I was like, 'it's no longer fun. It's no longer I'm young and rebellious and out having fun.'"

"It was 'wow, I'm one of those people. I got to get my act together,'" she explained.
