Adam Levine Attacked Outside Of Jimmy Kimmel Studio; What Exactly Was Thrown On Him?

Adam Levine had sugar thrown on his face while signing autographs in Hollywood. The Maroon 5 frontman was outside the  El Capital Theater when someone hurled sugar on this face. He was there for a guest appearance at "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Wednesday evening, May 6.

The front of Levine's blue and yellow jacket were caked in the white sugar, and his jeans and sneakers were also covered with the sugar. Security personnel immediately escorted the singer to the entrance of the theater, where he shook off the powder.

An eyewitness who was interviewed by The Daily Mail said that the attacker did not say anything when he threw the sugar at the star of "Begin Again." "It is unclear if the attacker was protesting on behalf of any particular group but he was quickly apprehended by security, until police arrived," the witness said to The Daily Mail.

The man who threw the flour at Adam was apprehended by security and put to the ground. The attacker was later on charged with battery. There has been no word yet on Adam's reaction to the incident but photos of the singer show that he was not at all happy with the incident.

The Hollywood Reporter's source, who is someone working in "The Jimmy Kimmel Show," revealed that the same man also threw a rock at Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson last week. The man was also arrested at that time. The website concluded that it was not a coincidence that Maroon 5's latest single is called "Sugar."

An official representative of "The Jimmy Kimmel Show" said that they took action at once and made sure to contact the police. "Immediately after the incident occurred, and 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' security followed protocol and alerted LAPD, who responded quickly and are looking into the situation," the representative's statement read.
