Justin Timberlake is denying rumors of allegedly calling his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears a derogatory name.

Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears high profile couple began dating in early 1999 before their split in 2002 and hasn't been in the spotlight much. However during his performance at the Super Bowl Direct TV party in New Orleans the "Suit And Tie" singer made comments to the crowd before performing the song that was famously known as the break up ballad "Cry Me A River."

"Sometimes in life you think you found the one. But then one day you find out, that she is just some b----," he said according to E! News.

Soon after the comment which led many to believe it to be towards Spears, Timberlake wrote on Twitter to clarify.

The 32-year old singer wrote "Ok. I see you. Wouldn't disrespect ANYONE personally. Ever. #Relax #ItsBritneyBitch I do love that saying though *with accent* #Respect."
