Grammys 2013; Carly Rae Jepsen, 'Call Me Maybe' Nominated For 'Song of the Year' [VIDEO]

Grammys 2013 are quickly approaching. "Call Me Maybe" singer, Carly Rae Jepsen is nominated for two awards-- "Best Pop Solo Performance," and the grand prize of the night, "Song of the Year."

Carly Rae Jepsen is nominated for the honorable "Song of the Year" award at the Grammts 2013. Her competition is fierce with contenders--"The A Team" (Ed Sheeran), "Adorn" (Miguel), "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" (Kelly Clarkson) and "We Are Young" (Fun.)-- also dominating the charts.

Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" shot to fame in December 2011 when pal, Justin Bieber, gave his approval of the track via Twitter. The song became a hit soon after with chart-topping success, viral videos, and parodies from just about everyone--literally.

The catchy tune eventually sold over 6.4 million copies in the US and the music video has almost 400 million views on YouTube since it debuted in March. MTV also declared the track "Song of the Year" in Dec. 2012.

"When we worked on the song together, we were not expecting this year to turn out to be the crazy adventure that it is," Jepsen said about the MTV honor.
