National Pancake Day is today and IHOP is celebrating by serving FREE buttermilk stacks from 7am to 10pm. Twitter has been trending for hours about the giveaway of free pancakes at IHOP nation wide. Find out how to get yours and donate to charity.

IHOP will be holding National Pancake Day in hopes of raising money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities, ABC News reports.100% of the proceeds will go towards the cause.

Last year's event raised over $3 million for several charities. And a total of more than $10 million has been over the past 8 years of National Pancake Day at IHOP.

The popular chain restaurant usually holds the event on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, typically called "Fat Tuesday." This year's Fat Tuesday falls on Feb. 12.
