UFC fighter Mark Munoz ended his MMA career on a high-note with a win over Luke Barnatt inside the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.

After three action-packed rounds, the "Filipino wrecking machine" defeated Barnatt via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 66, breaking a three-fight losing streak. Yahoo! News reports the official scorecards read 30-27, 29-29, 30-27.

UFC announcer Jon Anik gave the mic Munoz who addressed his countrymen with tears in his eyes.

"From the day when I was a kid, watching cartoons...I remember watching superheroes," he said. "I get to re-enact that every time I step into the cage. This is something I've dreamed about, and I hoped for; I know I didn't accomplish what I wanted to accomplish in the cage. But I invested a lot of my time in lives and I invested in treasures in their hearts. I've been able to help change lives and impact lives in a positive way."

The former NCAA Division I wrestling national champion helped bring UFC to the Philippines with the desire to end his career in his ancestral land.

"Guys, that's what I'm here for," he added. "I want to be able to teach and come back here to the Philippines and give my talents and abilities to you guys, and to be able to help the Philippines in wrestling. That's my goal. I have so much to give for this sport."

While giving his speech, he proceeded to remove his gloves from his hands, placing them at the center of the Octagon, symbolizing the end of his career.

The winner closed off, saying: "I will cherish these memories for a lifetime," adding "We all have a story and mixed martial arts has been the story of my career."

Munoz began fighting professionally in 2007, winning his first three fights. From 2009 to 2012, he has won seven fights out of eight, according to Fox Sports.
