New Kickstarter Project 'Concrete Jungle' Web Series Starring Newbie Actor Jason Liles Goes Live

Finding a roommate in your 20s seems to be a very universal situation. New Yorkers however have probably had a particularly difficult situation since real estate in New York almost requires a roommate until you have a six figure income.

If you're an animal living in New York, finding a roommate is probably even more difficult.

This situation is the premise of a new web series project on Kickstarter starring up and coming actor Jason Liles. Liles, who is joined by fellow actor friends (and fellow roommates) Kaitlyn Schirard, Daniel Roberts, and Adam Burns. The web series entitled "Concrete Jungle" is accepting donations on its official Kickstarter until May 28.

Liles, who is preparing to relocate to Los Angeles at the end of the summer, considers the project to be his departing letter to the city of New York as he departs.

"Concrete Jungle is my farewell letter to the Big Apple. New York has been a large part of my life and it very much plays the part of a central character in the series," explained Liles.

"Concrete Jungle" is a web series that is partnered with New York based film company 8-Player Pictures. The company was established by a group of friends who enjoyed working together on project, with a goal to make sure everyone "plays" while working.

Kickstarter projects are a dime a dozen, with several video games coming under fire for having received money and not being produced in the end. In the case of "Concrete Jungle" however, the situation is dire for Liles and his real life roommate, and on-screen prospect, Adam Burns. Both men will be leaving New York to further their careers in the City of Angels, making the project very close to their hearts.

As Burns says, "Concrete Jungle" is a tribute to the role that New York has played in his adult life.

"This is going to be my last project before I leave New York for the west coast and to me it'll be a special something that helps make the city part of who I am."
