The Android Wear smart watch device now supports applications among the ranks of Google Maps and Shazam. Developers have released an update for the device which includes new versions of the applications. 

The Google Fit application has also received a new update from developers, which includes a new homescreen widget for the Android Wear.

Android's new smart watch device is said to rival its Apple counterpart, which was recently released.

But the Android's watch isn't all users are talking about.

Glitches included in the recent Android Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be resolved with "micro-updates."

"Our engineers are currently sending out micro updates to help resolve any issues caused by the update. Thanks for your patience," a Samsung official posted online.

The upcoming Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Nexus 7 is expected to be available for all versions of the Nexus 7, GottaBeMobile reports, adding that the release date download will not just be for the 2013 model.

Android's new update will provide fixes for widespread glitches such as memory leaks and minor delays in processing applications.
