The annual 55th Grammy Awards is to take place tonight from the Staples Center in Los Angeles where Taylor Swift just performed the opening song.

As one of music's biggest events of the year, special guests include Jennifer Lopez, Carly Rae Jepsen, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Katy Perry, Beyonce, and more.

Taylor Swift is nominated for three Grammy Awards this year kicked off the show with her Record of the Year nominated song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Taylor walked the red carpet in a gorgeous Zuhair Murad dress earlier that night.

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards is to return to Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday. It will air live on the CBS Television Network at 8p.m. ET. It will be hosted for the second time by LL Cool J.
