iOS 9 Release Date To Have Support For iPhone 4S! What To Expect On The Upcoming Apple OS

As fans expect the follow up to the iPhones 6 and 6 Plus to come out anytime this year, reports of a new iOS 9 release date spun out at the same time.

In a report by 9 to 5 Mac, the upcoming iOS 9 update would deliver big changes in overall quality of the Apple devices, as they are set to create "big focus on quality" during their developmental plans. Unlike its previous iOS releases, which disregard older generation models, the said release would be applicable to the iPhone 4S and even the 4.

In the said report, in addition to the iOS 9 release date rumors, which was believed to be codenamed as "Monarch," a new operating system for the Mac computers is also expected. A new OS X 10.11 is also expected to hit Apple computer fans this year.

Included in the newest iOS are new features such as a new system-wide font, newer home applications to be used with HomeKit devices, split-screen views for the iPads and an updated Maps system that would also teach directions for commuters to use on trains.

In addition to all of this, a new rootless security feature would also be added to help eradicate the need for jailbreaks, as it would be virtually impossible to hack. As noted by the source, a rootless is "a 'huge,' kernel-level feature for both OS X and iOS. To prevent malware, increase the safety of extensions, and preserve the security of sensitive data, Rootless will prevent even administrative-level users from being able to access certain protected files on Apple devices. Sources say that Rootless will be a heavy blow to the jailbreak community on iOS, though it can supposedly be disabled on OS X."

According to rumors and speculations, the release date of the iOS 9 is expected to be introduced at the upcoming WWDC 2015.
