Sony Xperia Z5 Leaked Specs; New Smartphone Worthy To Be Company's Flagship Model

Specs for Sony's much-anticipated Xperia Z5 have been leaked online.

Various sources including Mobile & Apps claims that the "high-end Sony Xperia Z5 may be en route, possibly launching in the fall of this year or early next year."

Their report indicates that the new handset will feature a "premium metallic design, a QHD display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM." I will also feature "a Sense ID fingerprint reader, as well as a high-end 21-megapixel rear shooter with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a new IMX230 sensor."

Additionally, the leaked list of specs claims that it will feature "dustproof, waterproof and shockproof capabilities and a fast charging battery."

xiperiaz5.com says "the most interesting feature that might come is the fast charging battery capabilities, there are rumors that are stating, a phone could be charged in 5 to 10 minutes."

Their article also indicated that electronic consumers "might not see Xperia Z5 on the market shelves earlier to August or September 2015." 

"The design is said to draw heavily from the company's recent BRAVIA television sets and will feature a completely clean front end with a frosted glass effect," a report on Android Origin claims. "The body will be thicker than the Xperia Z3 and Z4, with more angular sides."

Their source says "the sides could actually be reminiscent of Sony Ericsson devices from the past," adding the "Xperia Z5 Ultra and Xperia Z5 Compact should also share many of the same design cues as the Z5."

Twitter user Riccolo, who is popular when it comes to upcoming releases, shared that Sony's Xperia Z5 will have a "new Camera/sensor/lens/software." Fuel was added to the flame when he posted shared an image reportedly using the rear camera of the rumored smartphone.

Sony has not yet made any announcements regarding the rumors and leaked specs.
