How To Make A Taco In Space: No Plate Necessary [VIDEO]

ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti had previously shown us how to go to the bathroom in space.

Cristoforetti has now moved on to showing us how to make tacos while living on board the International Space Station.

“Food is an important item in space, also on the psychological side; that’s why astronauts are allowed a certain quantity of the so-called ‘bonus food’ of their choice that reminds them of their home cooking tastes,” reads the description on the YouTube video.

“We asked Samantha to show us how she manages to cook on her bonus food recipes in microgravity: a quinoa salad with dried tomatoes, mackerel and leek cream, all wrapped in a warm tortilla.”

The best part about the video may be the fact that Cristoforetti can make her favorite dish without even using a plate.

The video has garnered over 43,000 views and counting.

The tutorial has gathered quite a bit interest among taco lovers all around.

“Looks delicious. The one thing better than a tortilla must be a space tortilla!,” commented YouTube user Ebbe B.

Fellow social media rituraj wizzard wrote, “Superb. How simple it seems but in reality taking a piece of bread could be very tough in zero gravity.”
