Girls' Generation's 'Catch Me If You Can' Hits 20 Million Views On YouTube

Twenty million and counting, that's how many times people have watched the music video for Girls' Generation's April release.

The music video for the Korean version of "Catch Me If You Can" by top Korean girl group Girls' Generation was viewed over 20 million times on YouTube. According to YouTube, it was shared over 80 thousand times.

The SM Entertainment eight-member act released "Catch Me If You Can" on April 10, and achieved over 20 million views in a little less than two months.

"Catch Me If You Can" is Girls' Generation's most recent release in Japan, but was released in both Korean and Japanese. 

The music video for the Japanese version of the song was released on Girls' Generation's official VEVO channel on YouTube. As of June 8, that version of the song has been viewed 5.2 million times. That version of the song was originally licensed in only part of the world but the video for the Japanese version of for "Catch Me If You Can" is now viewable on YouTube in most countries, including the US and Canada.

 Between the two versions of the music video released, people have watched official versions of "Catch Me If You Can" over 25 million times. 

The song was Girls' Generation's first release since the group's former member Jessica Jung departed from the famous act. 

Girls' Generation is in the midst of preperations for a June release in South Korea. They will head to the United States in August, to perform at the East Coast location of KCON.

Another Korean girl group also recently achieved the 20 million views milestone on YouTube. On June 3, JYP Entertainment announced that the video for "Only You" by its female quartet miss A also was seen over 20 million times.
