Valeria Lukyanova Calls 'Human Barbie' Nickname ‘Degrading'; Spiritual Guru Amatue Wants ‘Everyone To Learn To Love Themselves’

Valeria Lukyanova hates the nickname Human Barbie. The worldwide Internet sensation wants to bring a spiritual message to the world, but feels that her notoriety has overshadowed her message.

The 29-year-old Russian model talked to Cosmopolitan about her "Human Barbie" nickname.

"It's a little degrading and insulting, but I'm used to it now," Lukyanova told Cosmopolitan through a translator during a Skype interview.

"It's the image most fans request, so I have to comply with it because it's become part of my aesthetic image, but I don't like it. I don't like when people think I am imitating a doll"

Lukyanova goes by the spiritual name Amatue.

Lukyanova gained worldwide fame in 2007 when she won the title of Miss Diamond Crown of the World. Valeria became an Internet celebrity for her appearance. That doesn't stop the notorious hybrid beauty from tagging her own photos with #Barbie.

"When people look for me, they look for me with that hashtag," Lukyanova told Cosmopolitcan. "I'm the most popular [Barbie] copy in the world. When people say 'Barbie,' it's clear that it's associated with me, not anyone else. So that's why I use that hashtag - so people can find me this way."

The model's tiny waiste generated controversy when people claim the images were Photoshopped. Lukyanova claims she doesn't alter her photos and that the only surgery she's had is breast implants.

Lukyanova has been followed by controversy ever since she transformed herself into a real-life Barbie doll. Valeria Lukyanova's perfect image went viral last year. The Space Barbie achieved physical perfection and is on a mission to bring her "life-changing philosophy to the human race."

Posing as a Ukranian model, Valeria Lukyanova's image became a meme that has been beamed directly into mass human consciousness. But it's not just the Barbie look that has captured our attention. Valeria Lukyanova also wants to teach earthlings the truth about life and death.

"I want to wish for everyone to learn to love themselves. And when they learn to love themselves, they will be loved by others," Lukyanova told Cosmopolitan.

Valeria was the subject of a Vice documentary. She admitted she was scared about her talents discovered her talents. She said she went to a psychiatrist who taught her that she had special talents.

"I asked myself if everything was alright with my head," Amatue told Vice in the doc.

"I hear voices all the time and see different beings. One day I decided to visit a psychiatrist. I told him everything. He listened to me carefully and said it was very lucky it was him because with another doctor I definitely would have been taken to a special place. He said 'I've been studying esoterism for years and can see you are psychic.'"
