Big Bang's T.O.P has begun filming for his upcoming drama with Japanese actress Ueno Juri.

The morning of June 10 marked T.O.P and Ueno's first shoot together in Seoul.

Ueno has starred in popular Japanese dramas such as Nodame Cantabile, based off the manga of the same title. She has already been filming her own scenes since June 2. Meanwhile, T.O.P is renowned for his work in Iris, Commitment, and Tazza: The Hidden Card.

Ueno and T.O.P's drama new drama is a joint project between CJ E&M and Japanese entertainment company AMSUE Inc. Filming for the drama is currently being carried out secretly and little has been revealed about the drama, including the name.

According to OSEN the drama follows the story of a Japanese woman and a Korean man who fall in love. T.O.P plays a man named Woo Hyun who wants to believe in true love while Ueno plays Haruka, a character who wants to answer the call of new love.

The drama is targeting not only Japanese and Korean audiences but aims to appeal to a global audience as well. It is projected to premier on various global platforms later on this year.
