John Stamos Busted For Driving Under The Influence, Actor To Appear In Court This September

The Beverly Hills Police Department got their hands full on Friday after having the need to take in actor John Stamos for driving under the influence, according to Reuters.

In a report on the Beverly Hills Courier, police officers reportedly had to stop John Stamos because several people saw him driving erractically.

"On June 12, 2015 at approximately 7:45 p.m. the Beverly Hills Police Department received numerous calls reporting a possible DUI driver in the area of Canon Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard," the Beverly Hills Police Department media release said. "BHPD units stopped the vehicle at Beverly Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard. The driver and sole occupant was identified by his California drivers' license as John Phillip Stamos and by his own statement."

TMZ reported a picture of John Stamos being handcuffed by police office on site. The entertainment site also said the actor was booked for what he did.

The Beverly Hills Police only said though that John Stamos was only cited for the incident as reported as well by CNN.

"Due to a possible medical condition, Mr. Stamos was transported to a local area hospital by the Beverly Hills Fire Department for observation," added the media release. "Subsequent investigation at the hospital determined that he was driving under the influence and released to the care of the hospital.

John Stamos was ordered to appear at the Los Angeles courthouse to face the citation against him on September 11.

John Stamos gained popularity in the family sitcom "Full House" in the 1990s, according to E! Online. He later went to star in the medical drama "ER." He is set to reprise his role on a reboot of "Full House" titled "Fuller House" that will be shown on Netflix next year. He is also set to headline the new TV series "Grandfathered" on Fox this year.
