Lamar Odom seems to need Khloe Kardashian again as Us Weekly confirmed that he lost yet another close friend. The back to back deaths of Bobby Heyward and Jamie Sangouthai within just one week seems to be the reality check that the troubled NBA star needs to fix his life.

Lamar Odom's friend, Bobby Heyward, passed away last Saturday at the age of 30. While his exact cause of death has not yet been revealed by the LA County Coroners, the producer and writer's death was supposedly drug-related.

His death followed that of another good friend of Lamar Odom, Jamie Sangouthai. Bobby Heyward's last Instagram post was even a tribute to his fallen friend, who died of a flesh-eating disease that was caused by his drug use.

"#RIP To my big brother Jamie who always brought light into any room he walked into and laughter as well at all times J you will always be missed. Family for life. #BandOfBrothers #tbt," Bobby Heyward wrote on his Instagram photo that showed him with Jamie Sangouthai and Lamar Odom.

An earlier report from Us Weekly said the death of Jamie Sangouthai could be the reality check that Lamar Odom needs, especially now with the death of Bobby Heyward.

The professional athlete has long been accused of drug and alcohol issues, which eventually led to the separation of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom.

"He feels like it could have happened to him. This is a huge wake-up call for him. It has really shaken him," a source said.

Hollywood Life recently reported that Jamie Sangouthai's death made Khloe Kardashian to reach out to Lamar Odom. Some speculate that Khloe Kardashian might get closer with Lamar Odom now due to Bobby Heyward's death.

"She's been amazing, listening to Lamar's pain and being a shoulder to cry on. She's been his emotional rock during this heartbreaking tragedy," a source claimed.

"The one good thing that could come out of this is that Lamar has a newfound appreciation for Khloe. He's completely crushed right now and she's there for him. It's making him love her all over again."
