Singer-Songwriter SAM Teams Up With Park. One For 5th Single 'Callin' Me'

After releasing his breakout single "Wake Up" and becoming a prolific guest on Korean entertainment shows, singer-songwriter SAM is coming out with another collaboration song and his fifth single album titled "Callin' Me."

"Callin' Me" is produced by Chitwn Music and composed by Mont Lab Astronauts -- the hip-hop duo based in Chicago who recently collaborated with rapper Lupe Fiasco.

"Callin' Me" combines a soulful harp as the main instrumental and a trap beat sound, complementing the voices of SAM and featured rapper pak.one, who happens to be a close friend of SAM. The new song also showcases SAM's masculine vocals and a different tone from his previous releases.

In an exclusive interview with KPopStarz earlier this year, SAM said he is a fan of collaborations and spends time bonding with collaborators to produce the best music possible. He has expressed interest in working with JYP artists and rappers like Jessie and Dynamic Duo.

"A collaboration is really a mix of two or more different artist's colors. Only when the color of all the artists that are part of the collaboration show, will the music be top quality," he had said, which should excite fans looking to listen to "Callin Me."

SAM has found success in collaborations. His "Wake Up" song with rapper K. Shin, which narrates a break-up reached the top 15 on OnAir MBC's Radio chart and pulled in more than 3 million views in China.
