Samsung Galaxy S7 Release Date Expected To Arrive In February 2016; Breakthrough Battery Technology Inbound!

Has Samsung finally discovered a breakthrough that will separate them from other smartphone brands?

In a recent report by pocket-lint, Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a more powerful and long-lasting battery as announced by their research and development arm. The team said that with the power of lithium-ion batteries, the battery life performance and longevity are doubled.

According to scientists, the struggle in trying to extend the battery capacity is that the lifespan will be at risk and is usually shortened. Although it is possible for users to enjoy not charging on a regular basis, there is a risk that those types of batteries will have to be replaced sooner than later.

But, with the recent discovery, highly durable cathode has been incorporated to these batteries which will result to a longer lifespan. As stated by the website, this is done by glazing the graphene on the exterior of the silicon, which will create a protective layer over the silicon.

Although this might sound like it will take some time before being implemented to future smartphones, pocket-lint noted that it might be fast-tracked since Samsung is the developer of the technology.

As for Samsung Galaxy S7 release date, galaxys6samsung.com claims that the next flagship will come out on February 2016.

"Samsung just released Galaxy s6 on 1st March, 2015. Now we are expecting that company will reveal their upcoming and most desired flagship Smartphone S7 on February of 2016," as stated in the website.

Moreover, the website gave some projections of the expected specs of the device. It might include a 4 GB RAM, 64 bit processor, and 32/64 and 128 GB memory capacity options.

Moving on to its features, Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to boast a mesmerizing 30 megapixels camera, a Super Amoled display, waterproof technology, 5G network connection, and infrared sensors.

Lastly, for those who are wondering about the Samsung Galaxy S7 price tag, it is expected to be sold at $999 in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom, Rs 68,500 over at India, and €840 at Italy, Germany, and Belgium.

Will Samsung's reported battery technology breakthrough be the deciding factor for consumers looking to purchase a smartphone in 2016? Stay tuned.
