MBLAQ Announces Japanese Comeback, 'Mona Lisa Has Brand New Lyrics'

MBLAQ's CD & DVD press conference was held on 08th February at ZEPP DiverCity Tokyo.

The members looked very nervous when they greeted in Japanese. It's been a year and 5 months since they conducted their last activities in Japan and now they are ready to make a full comeback.

MC asked how they feel about their full comeback in Japan, and each of them gave their most sincere expression of enthusiasm, "I'm really pleased" (SeungHo), "I'm really pleased, too. After a long interval, we are now making a comeback in Japan. As MBLAQ, I'm really thrilled to see you all (fans). We would like to show our great performances." (GO), "I'm really pleased to come back to Japan like this. Today and from now on, it would be nice to have good meeting with you all." (Joon), "We could come back to Japan like this. I'm really pleased. Thank you." (CheonDung), "Our Japanese fans kept sending many messages "when are you coming back to Japan" for a long time through SNS. At last we came back to Japan like this. I would like to do my best, please cordially support us." (Mir).

On March 27th, MBLAQ fans' long awaited Japanese come back single "MONA LISA　~Japanese Version~" will be released. "It's the first time for us to release this kind of melody in Japan. "MONA LISA" was made in Korea, and had a very good response from overseas fans. I'm very pleased that we can release this track, "MONA LISA", here in Japan. This song's theme is to give one's love to someone he really loves. The lyrics are a bit different from the original one though; it became a really good song. Please look forward to listening." , GO said as he introduced "MONA LISA　~Japanese Version~ "

MC asked if singing in Japanese was very difficult, CheonDung answered "The lyrics were changed into Japanese, and when I read it, I thought it had a very beautiful meaning. So I could pick up it sooner than I thought. I practiced pronunciation very hard, I hope our Japanese fans will come across the feeling and meaning of the lyrics well." SeungHo continued "To release (new single) in Japan, we tried to translate the original lyrics in Korean into Japanese. But there is a cultural difference between Korea and Japan, there are distinct emotions and feelings that Japanese have, and we thought it's better to reflect those, so we changed the lyrics from the original. We have been practicing in pronunciation though, some of pronunciations I have felt difficult were still difficult. But I practiced very hard and recorded. I think this is what I have to work harder. We still have things that are we need to improve on, so, we work very hard and we would like you to warmly watch over our growth,"

MBLAQ has gained a lot of fans now. To make a full comeback in Japan, MBLAQ introduce themselves to new fans, "(We as MBLAQ) SEXY group" said Joon jokingly other members who looked very nervous all smiled. "The members are always friendly and funny. But once we stand on a stage, we get so earnest and can show the charisma. We are that kind of SEXY group." Joon continued. Then "I think we are the perfect group. Firstly, as you can see, we all are handsome. Also our performances are very amazing and have great skills. I think we are the perfect flawless group." Mir proudly said that MBLAQ is K-POP's strongest SEXY performance group, with a shy smile. MC asked SeungHo what he thought, he answered "I think so, too"

At the end of the press conference, each member sent messages to their Japanese fans.

SungHo said "Since we debuted in Japan, we haven't been able to do enough activities for a while. But like this, we can start activities again in Japan, I'm very honored. I hope to do as many activities as we can. Please give us support. We would like to show many activities and give presents to our Japanese fans. GO-ssi and I successfully ended the musical (in Japan). Now, we as MBLAQ, can work hard."

GO continued "There are a lot of MBLAQ fans in Japan. I feel we haven't given back the love that Japanese fans give to MBLAQ as much love as we are given. So with this comeback and our future activities, I would like to respond to the love from our Japanese fans."

Joon also said "Very SEXY group is coming back like this. Please everyone, accept us and enjoy. Can we become the one, can't we?"

CheonDung greeted in farewell by saying "It's been a while since our last activities in Japan and now we are back here, we have prepared really cool performance, please look forward to it. Also, I would like to show cool performances to you all from now on. "

Mir finally said, "We completed our Asia tour last year. We held concerts here in Japan then, we were given so much energy from our fans. If you all give us a lot of energy this time, we will respond and will give you back a lot more energy. Like that it would be nice we can give a lot of energy to each other. We will work hard from now on, please support us. "
