Chandler Parsons Blasts DeAndre Jordan For His Unprofessionalism; Says DJ Is Scared Of Responsibility

With how DeAndre Jordan handled the situation with the Dallas Mavericks, it was understandable if members of the Mavs react negatively to his decision.

Chandler Parsons, who played a vital role in recruiting DeAndre Jordan to the Mavs, blasted the center for the fiasco he created and his show of unprofessionalism towards owner Mark Cuban.

"I'm shocked, very disappointed, frustrated, disrespected. This is something that I've never seen in my career, and I know that it doesn't happen very often,"  Parsons told ESPN Dallas' Tim MacMahon. "When a man gives you his word and an organization his word, especially when that organization put in so much effort and I walked him through this process and was very, very open and willing to work with him, it's just very unethical and disrespectful."

Parsons is absolutely right with his sentiments. DeAndre Jordan even said that he is impressed with how Dirk Nowitzki flew over to the meeting just to meet him while none of his Clippers teammates even bothered to showed up and convince him to return.

"Be a professional," Parsons said. "Pick up the phone. If you're not going to meet with him, pick up the phone and tell the guy that you're committed to what you're feeling, what you're going through and maybe he can talk it out and help you. But do not ignore the guy. Do not make him sit there and sweat it out. That's just very unprofessional. I can't get over that part."

The recent mishap says a lot about Jordan's maturity. It is worth noting that his primary goal is to become a franchise player as he said that he is tired of being the third option in his team. Realizing that he is not capable to be one, he changed his mind. Per Parson's words:

"He wasn't ready for being a franchise player," Parsons said of Jordan. "He was scared. He was scared to take the next step in his career. There was no other reason other than that he was comfortable and he has friendships there. How you make a business decision like that is beyond me. How you ignore an owner like Mark who is in your hometown just waiting for a chance to talk to you is beyond me."
