Fans Of 2NE1's CL Accuse McDonald's Of Copying 'Doctor Pepper' For New Ad

"Doctah Pepper," the sexy and catchy chorus from CL, Korea's baddest female, single released a month ago. Now McDonald's is paying tribute, or at least trying to, but with a lemon twist.

Fans of the fierce K-pop rapper CL (Lee Chaelin) duly noted that a new summer advertisement for McDonald's sounds all too familiar.

Many are suggesting that the new commercial is riding on the coat-tails of the 2NE1 leader's recent "Docor Pepper" collaboration with Diplo, RiFF RAFF and OG Maco that was released in late May.

The ad in question is for McDonald's lemonade and the background music's beat and style for the lyrics "Lemonade" appear to be akin to CL's chorus in "Doctor Pepper."

Check out the ad below and tell us if you hear the similarities.

Fans left comments such as "Have a listen, does this sound kind of like someone's song or what? if you know what I'm saying. cough cough," and "I could tell right away and I agree!"

Other people have disagreed with the assessment saying the McDonald's ad is actually a knock off of an skit by comedienne Amy Schumer called "Milk Milk Lemonade."

Now the real question is, are fans "Lovin' it?" Let us know in the comments below!

Editor's note: The McDonald's advertisement in question actually uses a song called "Lemonade" by Sophie. The song was originally released in July 2014 and can be heard HERE.
