K-Pop Crossover: Popular Buzzfeed Personalities React To Big Bang's 'Bang Bang Bang' [VIDEO]

Even if you haven't heard of the popular K-pop boy band Big Bang, chances are you'll dance to one of their tunes. At least, it appears to be the case for the popular personalities behind Buzzfeed.

On Saturday, Buzzfeed's Eugene Lee Yang posted a video on Instagram featuring co-workers Quinta Brunson, Zack Evans and Justin Tan. They can be seen grooving to Big Bang's recent release "Bang Bang Bang," despite their alleged lack of familiarity to K-pop.

"When you introduced your friends to K-pop," captioned Yang for the video, which has garnered 37,400 "likes," and counting.

But this is not to say Buzzfeed is entirely unfamiliar with the growing pop culture phenomenon. Some of their team members have even attempted to learn K-pop dance moves and pronounce K-pop stars' names.

During an interview with Kollaboration, Yang discussed his love for K-pop and how it stemmed from his desire for more Asian representation in the media.

"Most Asian Americans like myself, as a child, did not see either supply or demand of Asians on television," said Yang.

"I would never have supplied myself as an actor if I didn't join BuzzFeed. The great thing about the proliferation of K-pop is that it puts Asian faces out there. Adjusted, but still Asian faces. If it's even one small town girl who is now obsessed with supporting Asian culture, then more power to them!"

And the obsession could be growing for Big Bang, who is in the midst of releasing their four-part album series for "M.A.D.E." In less than three months, the release of "M," "A" and "D" albums have sold 5.8 million copies in single sales and 112 million views on YouTube.

Big Bang will conclude their promotional activities by releasing the "E" album on Aug. 1 and the full album on Sept. 1.
