Brandy Sang Whitney Houston’s ‘Home’ On A NYC Subway And Everyone Ignored Her [VIDEO]

New York City is filled with people doing all kinds of performances on the subway, so everyone is usually in “ignore mode.”

Brandy had to learn that the hard way.

The singer recently moved to NYC from Los Angeles, and decided to give the busy people of the city something to smile about. Instead, no one smiled or even looked up to see who was singing, which explains why no one was gushing over Brandy on the subway.

Brandy covered Whitney Houston’s “Home,” and while the singing was amazing, the clip just shows that the artist has a while before she gets used to the city.

“I’ve hung out in Central Park, Times Square, ridden the bus, and I’ve gotten accustomed to taking the subway too. I feel like e real New Yorker. I’m learning the streets and everything, y’all!” Brandy wrote on her blog.

Oh, no no, Brandy. It takes more than getting used to the subways to be a true New Yorker.

Social media users have commented on Brandy’s clip, teaching her the ways of New York.

“Being a New Yorker I am immune to ignore people like the one you presented yourself to be. I got chills hearing you singing. Also I would singer (sic) more in the center, not in the butt of the cart. I think you should do this again,” commented social media user Jason Espinal.
